Hibiscus Vitamin C Allergy Fighting Drink Recipe

Vitamin C is a wonderful antioxidant that has been proven to speed healing and reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease(1) and high blood pressure(2).

Vitamin C helps you absorb more iron (3) which is essential to move oxygen through your body to help increase energy and reduce fatigue.

Yet, vitamin C has another superpower. It can help reduce allergy symptoms by stabilizing mast cells (4). Mast cells are part of your immune system and they kick out histamine in response to allergens, such as pollen, foods, and toxins.

If you struggle with seasonal allergies, increasing your vitamin C intake is a great way to reduce inflammation and stabilize your immune system.

You can take a vitamin C supplement OR you can increase vitamin C rich foods in your diet.

Here is one of my favorite way to consume more vitamin C is HIBISCUS!

This great little flower is packed full of vitamin and bioflavonoids. Check out my hibiscus coconut drink here…

Hibiscus Vitamin C Rich Allergy Fighting Drink Recipe

1 cup coconut milk (I use this one)

1 cup filtered water

2T hibiscus powder (I get mine here)

1-2 scoop collagen powder (I get mine here)

5-10 drops of monk fruit extract ( I get mine here)  or sweetener of your choice

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of unrefined sea salt

Direction:

Put all the ingredients into a glass jar and SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE!

Enjoy!
